In the same way that it sometimes becomes necessary to empty your cupboards of bulky or used objects and clothes, the many mailboxes, instant messaging and other chatter on social networks also deserve a big sweep. Software, free for the moment, prides itself on purging and clearing the way for the user. A boon to get rid of these rather tedious tasks!

If you want to clean up your archives on your social networksyour personal or professional mailboxes, know that there is a practical tool called Redact allowing you to delete all or part of what you have posted on most social media and direct messaging.
The American start-up Redact offers the possibility of automatically cleaning up its old publications posted on Facebbok and others. In total, nearly forty platforms are concerned, from Twitter to TikTok via Instagram, LinkedInMessenger, Skype, DiscordSlack, Reddit, Spotify or Twitch and even Tinder.
A little sweep on his digital footprint
Rather than “cleaning up” your networks by hand, which can quickly become complicated and tedious, it is better to opt for a application doing it automatically and quickly. Redact can thus delete a multitude of information from several accounts in a few moments.
Selected content removed includes: messagesimages, comments, subscriber lists and “likes”. It is even possible to define a recurring calendar (every year, every quarter…) to regularly “empty” your accounts.
Redact further promises not to store any data on any server whether it be. Any data thus deleted will be unrecoverable.
Editorial is free to download (for Windows, Macos, linux and android). Only the services offered to companies are currently chargeable.
