Can I upload custom fonts to Google Docs?

Google does not allow users to add native or custom (any font other than default fonts or extension) fonts to Google Docs. Google Docs only uses custom web-based fonts. So think twice before purchasing a particular font style from the creative market. We hope Google considers including this in future updates, but don’t get your hopes high. It’s a niche function and the default font selection should serve most people perfectly well.
