The paramilitary group Wagner, whose boss Evgueni Prigojine is presumed to have died on Wednesday August 23 in a plane crash, is present in several countries where Russia has strategic interests to defend. There is Ukraine of course, but also the Central African Republic, Libya… One of the first countries in which Wagner’s men deployed was Syria.
