How the Utrecht parties think about nitrogen policy

How the Utrecht parties think about nitrogen policy

50plus – Do not agree with. The party wants the province not to talk about it, but to talk to the farmers.

BBB – Do not agree with. BBB recognizes the importance of strengthening biodiversity, but emphasizes that this is everyone’s responsibility, including in neighbourhoods, cities and villages.

BVNL – I strongly disagree. Agricultural green is also green, the party believes.

CDA – Agree. The party wants the province to create nature reserves about which agreements have already been made. Farmers will manage that nature.

CU – Agree. The government must comply with agreements made regarding the Netherlands Nature Network (NNN).

D66 – Totally agree. The share of nature and water must grow proportionally, because now more than half of the province is agricultural land and only 14% nature.

THINK – Agree

FVD – I strongly disagree

GreenLeft – Completely agree, for a healthy functioning nature, in the first place, sufficient surface area is needed.

YES21 – I strongly disagree. Our farmers will be hit hardest. The survival of the agricultural sector is under threat.

Labor Party – Totally agree

PvdD – Totally agree. Investing in alternatives to conventional agriculture such as wet cultivation, food forests and biocyclic cultivation without manure and artificial fertilizers as a sustainable perspective.

PVP – Do not agree with. We will relax the management plans for Natura2000 areas and we will not expand any more areas.

SGP – Do not agree with. The emphasis should be on quality (biodiversity) and not on the quantity of nature.

SP – Agree. We preserve and improve biodiversity. Nature areas are connected to each other and we ensure a considerable expansion of nature.

U26 – Do not agree with

volts – Agree. Volt wants to invest in improving the quality of nature and increasing the natural area.

VVD – Agree. We create new nature where we can walk, play, do sports and recreate in our free time.

ZIPZ – Do not agree with
