Since 2016, France info, France’s leading non-stop news radio station, has been developing a press agency within its organization responsible for cross-checking information before it is given on the air. The media workshop of RFI invites you to discover an original device in the French media landscape, more precisely within one of the French public audiovisual groups: Radio France.

In January 2016, a fact-checking service was created within the continuous news channel France Info. What was originally called Agence France Info became Agence Radio France in March 2022proof of the importance given to this pioneering system, the durability of which seems to have become obvious.

Estelle Cognacqdeputy director of franceinfo and director of Agence Radio France, returns to the microphone of The media workshop on the context in which the Agence franceinfo was born, following the media frenzy of the attacks of Charlie Hebdo but also the death of Martin Bouygues wrongly announced by AFP in 2015. The one who created Agence France info and was its first editor-in-chief explains in concrete terms how the team was formed and how it works on a daily basis with and for France Info, France Inter and France Bleu.
