This Tuesday, April 1, 2025, opens the trial of Myriam Jaouen, 30, former employee of the Danton Dream crèche (People & Baby group) in Lyon. She appears before the Assize Court of the Rhône for having voluntarily killed an 11 month old baby, Lisa. The little girl was poisoned by a massive ingestion of a liquid unblocker, the Destop, on June 22, 2022. Almost three years later, the accused faces the prison in perpetuity.
But how did this little girl under a year come there? Forced to ingest “a significant quantity of a caustic fluid of acid type”, as revealed by the investigating judge in his accusation order, Lisa could not itself ingest such a quantity of liquid. “The hypothesis that his hands have been held by a third party cannot be excluded,” said experts in their report.
Was Lisa forced to ingest Destop? Myriam Jaouen’s statements go in any case in this direction. After telling the emergency services and witnesses – who took care of the baby – that the latter had swallowed gouache by accident during a painting activity, she appears a little more local in police custody, after her arrest at the Golden Tête Parc, around 3 p.m. on the day of the facts. She then entrusted a malaise linked to a potential miscarriage and admits that she wanted to “silence the child”, indisposed by his tears. It was then that the 30-year-old woman “farted a cable”, according to her, took the bottle of Destop, then poured her into the mouth of the little girl saying: “Eat and shut up”. A bottle that was found in the crèche by the police, three -quarters empty.
Overwhelming elements in his phone
In his phone, the investigators also found overwhelming elements against that which holds a early childhood CAP and who worked for ten years in contact with children. On the morning of the drama, while the father of little Lisa leaves the crèche to leave to work, Myriam Jaouen takes care of her and less than a quarter of an hour later, at 7:59 am precise, she does the following search on her phone: “What to do when a child ate a toilet outlet” The Parisian. The baby is taken care of by help and arrives at the hospital around 9 am. According to the psychiatric expert in charge of the file, Myriam Jaouen presents “cognitive efficiency within the low limit of normality”. The 30 -year -old woman was also described as “little professional” by some parents of the Lyon crèche.
