Blizzard has announced the system requirements for Diablo 4. And they are surprisingly moderate. What kind of PC do you need if you want to play Diablo 4 properly?

The system requirements for the Diablo 4 beta are surprisingly low. It also means that you don’t need a high-performance gaming system if you want to check out Blizzard’s new action RPG. You can read here exactly what you need and how much money you need.

Diablo 4 Open Beta System Requirements

What are the requirements? The current system requirements for the Diablo 4 Open Beta are as follows:

diablo 4, Minimum requirements:

  • Operating system: 64-bit Windows 10
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 280
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2500L or AMD FX-8100
  • Memory: 8GB RAM
  • DirectX: version 12
  • Storage: 45GB SSD
  • diablo 4, Recommended settings:

  • Operating system: 64-bit Windows 10
  • Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 370
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4670K or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • DirectX: version 12
  • Storage: 45GB SSD
  • What does that even mean? Minimum system requirements refer to the minimum hardware that you need to start a game. In most cases the game will then run on low settings, so don’t expect too much. If you have weaker hardware, the game will not run at all or only with major problems.

If you reach the recommended settings, you can play the game with high details. Some manufacturers now also provide dedicated information on which settings you can play (e.g. 4K, 60 FPS or Full HD, 144 FPS).

With a gaming PC for 700 euros you can easily play Diablo 4

What do I need for Diablo 4? Theoretically, you can also play the open beta of Diablo 4 with a 6 or 7 year old PC without any problems, because the requirements are comparatively moderate. But you should keep in mind that very old graphics cards, such as the AMD Radeon RX 370, officially no longer receive software updates today (via gamestar.de).

You can still play with the hardware, but current drivers are often optimized for new games or solve problems. The performance benefits of the graphics card software are limited anyway. In many cases, you don’t necessarily have to buy new hardware or even a new PC. By the way, the alternative would be to play Diablo 4 on the PS5, where the beta will also run:

What hardware could I buy? If you want to upgrade, the conditionally recommendable RX 6500 XT is already significantly faster than the recommended Radeon RX 370. Alternatively, you can now also get a GTX 1060 or a used RX 570 for around 100 euros and can use it to give a system a boost.

Gaming systems with RX 6600 now cost between 600 and 700 euros, with an RTX 3050 you pay around 800 euros. If you have a fast processor but a weak graphics card, it is now worth taking a look at the used market again if you only have a tight budget.

Thanks to Nvidia, you’ll soon be able to play new hits like Starfield and Diablo 4 without a powerful gaming PC
