Take-Two Interactive Software made an update on the sales of Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption 2 and other games, as well as its financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year covering April 2023 and June 2023.
GTA5 Has Sold 190 Million Units To Date
The publisher said in its press release that it achieved net bookings of $1.44 billion in the quarter, despite a 4% year-over-year decline. The company added that “the superior performance of Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online, as well as Red Dead Redemption 2” were responsible for the sales. CEO Strauss Zelnick’s traditional statement praising “strong” quarterly results and stating that full-year forecasts had been raised was also included in the press release.
In the statement, “Our strong second quarter results, including $1.4 billion in net bookings, underscore the strength of our iconic, industry-leading intellectual property portfolio. During this period, our teams released new offerings, delivered engaging post-launch content, and furthered the development of our highly anticipated pipeline.
