How is continuous assessment organized for the 2022 baccalaureate

The end of the school year is approaching and understanding which grade is under continuous review can be difficult for high school students. Indeed, if up to now all the averages of all the subjects counted for the continuous assessment, recent adjustments have taken place.

Thus, the subjects already subject to examination during the baccalaureate examinations are no longer concerned by continuous assessment. Not clear enough for you? Discover everything you need to know about the organization of the continuous control tank 2022 in the dedicated article.

Consideration of a continuous control mark and a final exam mark

During the 2021 reform, the Ministry of National Education wanted to take into account the marks obtained in class of Première and Terminale in the overall mark of the baccalaureate.

To understand this new rating, here is what you need to remember: the score obtained in the baccalaureate 2022 is an average of two ratings. The first, known as the “final examination mark”, is that obtained during the baccalaureate examinations. The second, called the “continuous assessment mark”, represents the average of the marks obtained for the other Première and Terminale examinations.

With regard to the continuous assessment mark, it represents 40% of the final mark for the 2022 baccalaureate. This is the one that evaluates the subjects that are not the subject of a test during the baccalaureate. All of the continuous assessment marks are therefore obtained during the last two years of the high school student: the first and the final year.

The adjustment for continuous control of tray 2022

For 2022, adjustments have been made by the Ministry of National Education. To simplify, not all materials are affected by continuous monitoring. The goal is therefore not to evaluate the same subject twice: during the continuous assessment and during the final tests.

On the other hand, it should also be noted that within each of the subjects concerned by the continuous assessment, not all the marks are retained. Concretely, this means that the teacher concerned with the subject will have to decide which assignment will count for the continuous assessment mark for the baccalaureate. He will therefore have to operate between the so-called “non-certifying” duties and the so-called “certifying” duties.

With regard to the directives of the ministry as to the organization within each high school, these leave the establishments to decide for themselves. Thus, each high school is completely independent concerning the organization of these certification duties.

It can therefore be observed that special education, physical and sports education as well as moral and civic education are subject to continuous monitoring for only one year. Finally, concerning the other materials not indicated in this table, continuous monitoring no longer concerns them.
