When Emmanuel Macron agrees to send tanks to Ukraine, Olaf Scholz does not immediately give in the famous Leopard 2.. The French president supplied Caesar cannons, the German Chancellor hesitates to send Taurus missiles. Paris says it is ready to mobilize troops on the front, Berlin believes that war should not be directed to NATO.

Two very different policies in defense. And one of the two players seems to be backtracking.
