Veera Kivirinna’s first race in the women’s 50-meter breaststroke is next in the short course World Cup swimming.
Veera Kivirinta and Davin Lindholm are the Finns of the morning in the World Cup short course swimming in Budapest. Both are in the pool in the heats of the 50m breaststroke. Kivirinna’s heat starts at 11:51, Lindholm’s heat starts at 12:06.
Contrary to what was previously reported Fanny Teijonsaloa is not participating in the preliminaries of the women’s 50-meter freestyle, and the Finnish team does not start in the 4×100-meter medley relay of the mixed teams.
Laura Lahtinen will compete in the women’s 100m butterfly final on Saturday night. Lahtinen was tenth in the semi-finals with a time of 56.26 and seemed to qualify already, but the way to the final opened when two competitors who swam better than Lahti withdrew from the final. Lahtinen’s final starts at 18:32.
