No question: Thomas Gottschalk is one of the biggest names when it comes to the local TV landscape. Nevertheless, the moderator often faced with criticism. Most recently in the RTL annual review, when he was more or less discreetly pointed out by footballer Alexandra Popp about an earlier misstep.
Specifically, it was about the pronunciation of a name: Gottschalk repeatedly named the footballer Giulia Gwinn “Giuliana” and made few friends with it.
