Always go on a discovery tour

So what kind of tactics are these? One of the strategies players use is to play certain acts of the game over and over again – without ever completing them. One player reports on Reddit that he spends hours in Act 1 and never actually finishes the game.

For him, the appeal lies in constantly discovering new aspects and details that he missed on each previous playthrough. MeinMMO editor-in-chief Leya Jankowski also spent over 200 hours on the first playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3 and was far from finished because she was so much in discovery mode.

Make new decisions and experience different endings

What else do the players say? Another says that he feels like a winner when he successfully completes Act 2. Some players start a new run again and again to make different decisions and experience different endings – because Baldur’s Gate 3 has a lot of them.

Roughly 17,000 different endings were mentioned. One player even found the rarest ending of all. In Baldur’s Gate 3 you can influence the story through different decisions and actions, which keeps many fans captivated even after so many hours.

Use mods

Mods for Baldur’s Gate 3 are also popular with some players, as they add new possibilities to the game. For example, another class from the D&D universe, namely the Artificer. Or new styles, new spells and much more.

So Baldur’s Gate 3 remains exciting for me

Who is speaking here? Fabienne has been playing LoL for twelve years and is the LoL expert on MeinMMO. In addition to LoL, she plays a lot of Final Fantasy XIV and especially Baldur’s Gate 3. Even after countless hours, she still hasn’t had enough of the RPG. She is currently trying an honor run as a bard cleric.

As a passionate player of Baldur’s Gate 3, I can say from my own experience that the game remains exciting even after many runs. I try out different classes and take on new roles – in my opinion, the gameplay never gets boring.

In Baldur’s Gate 3 you have so many options to shape your character, be it with multiclass builds, different subclasses, or the roleplay aspect. In one run I’m a righteous paladin, in the next a selfish warlock. In the current honor run I’m turning into the ultimate supporter, with a multiclass build of cleric and bard.

The honor mode appeals to me

Another aspect that catches my attention is definitely the Honor Mode itself, which offers a particularly difficult challenge. The thrill of knowing that a mistake means the end of the run gives the game an additional meaning – and of course I absolutely want the golden dice.

The variety of companions and their individual stories offer endless possibilities for interactions and relationships that are unique to each run. Plus, if you feel ready, you can play the Dark Desire – which is also on my agenda.

MeinMMO editor Benedict Grothaus, on the other hand, has already decided on the character who is always drawn to murder and is enthusiastic: I now know what the “Dark Desire” is and it makes the character so much better.
