And now that the leaves are already falling from the trees en masse, Marcelle has another good tip. “You can make leaf compost yourself by putting all fallen leaves in a bag and putting it away in a corner for a year. All the leaves are converted into fertile compost by bacteria and organisms,” says Marcelle. But also making your own compost heap or setting up a worm bucket are a good start to make your garden more climate-proof. “If you provide good soil, you will see that plants grown in the open air and not in a greenhouse are extremely resilient to climate change.”
