The special working group in Utrecht, the Cultural Memorandum Advisory Committee, released their recommendations on Wednesday. The advice is to no longer give money to some institutions that have received subsidies for years, such as the Dutch Film Festival and IMPAKT Festival. This is “extremely painful” for those institutions, says Klamer. “The allocation of the subsidies is always a scary moment.”
