Original Silent Hill designer Masahiro Ito shared his original design for Pyramid Head, one of the game’s legendary characters.
One of Konami’s best horror games ever, Silent Hill game from 1999 is a production that introduced many people to PlayStation. In his 24-year adventure, he produced nearly twenty productions, eight of which were the main plays. But the place of the first game has always been separate. The graphic designer of the series, which includes many heroes and creatures, Masahiro Ito, published the Pyramid Head visual he designed for Silent Hill 2, the second production of the series, after the first game.
How did the Pyramid Head come about?
The game, which was designed with an innovative approach in many ways (if I remember correctly), was one of the first productions to offer multiple endings. Of course, this being the case, the production that emerged at the end of the development phase was also unique. The first design of Pyramid Head, one of the most important characters in the second game, was published by Masahiro Ito. The deadly character, who looks quite different from what he is now, seems to be tortured rather than tortured.
“3310”, a painting that I did after finishing making the 1st Silent Hill in 1999. I was thinking the object of in the middle of this pic as a character that the protagonist encountered in water from an story-idea for the SH2. This figure became Pyramid Head eventually. pic.twitter.com/eJgDUgrhZe

The painting “3310” appears to be the scene where the hero of Ito’s work, Silent Hill 2, encounters the “object” in the water, after Ito completes his first mission in Silent Hill.
