The Houtens council is prepared to enter into discussions with the NS and ProRail about the non-functioning of station lifts in the municipality. The council made this statement following an incident at the end of August, in which 38-year-old disabled Annemarie Kol was stuck for hours at Houten Castellum station. The municipality believes that the responsibility for the lifts lies with the rail companies.
