The Green Men really exist
The so-called Green Men are a legendary group of children of the forest who guarded the island of faces for 10,000 years. This island is located in the middle of the Gods Eye, the lake in front of Harrenhal Castle. It is a place where many of the mystical weirwood trees can be found.
The Isle of Faces is a place of great historical significance. It is said that 10,000 years ago, the First Men and the Children of the Forest made a pact here that divided the lands of Westeros between the two species. Since then, the island and the Green Men have been shrouded in mystery.
Even in George RR Martin’s works we learn little about the island, which no one can simply enter. The Green Men themselves are also rarely mentioned and are described either as green-skinned beings with horns or as disguised people who put horns on their heads.
Although the Isle of Faces was mentioned in Game of Thrones, the Green Men never showed up in eight seasons. In House of the Dragon, we get to see the 10,000-year-old secret with our own eyes for the first time.
When is House of the Dragon Season 3 coming out and will there be a reunion with the Green Men?
Fans will have to wait a while for the third season of House of the Dragon. Filming is not scheduled to start until early 2025, which means the fantasy series not until 2026 will return with new episodes. Here you will find an overview of the huge battles that await us in season 3.
It is not yet known whether we will see more of the Green Men in Season 3. But with a view to George RR Martin’s Fire and Blood, the horned creatures and the Island of Faces could still play a role in the further course of the Dance of the Dragons.
In the template, it is supposed to be the freshly baked Dragon Rider Addam during the war on the Isle of Faces where he naturally also meets the Green Men.
