- This episode 2 was once again deadly. Warning, spoilers. The Hightowers, especially Healaena and King Aegon, are overcome with grief and rage after the death of the heir to the throne, and accuse Rhaenyra of having killed their child. When she finds out, she discovers that her uncle-husband Daemon ordered the assassination without telling her, and admits that she no longer trusts him. The latter leaves the scene after a violent argument with his wife. For his part, Aegon decides to take revenge on all the rodents in the city, despite Otto Hightower’s warnings. As a result, Aegon decides to depose him and make Sir Criston Cole the Hand of the King. At the same time, the latter sent Sir Arryk to Rhaenyra’s stronghold, ordering him to pretend to be his twin brother in order to destroy him. But this leads to a duel to the death between Sir Erryk (who protects the Black Queen) and Sir Arrky, and both brothers perish under the other’s blade.
- On social networks, the first French spectators were able to share their reactions to this episode which many consider “excellent”. The scene of the duel between Sir Erryk and Sir Arryk particularly captivated Internet users: “The scene with the twins: thank you thank you thank you”, comments one of them, “We will not forget you Sir Erryk”, writes one second, when another rejoices in “the cohesion of the two camps which is going into a tailspin and a story where the dynamic in motion and the errors are stronger than those who want to keep control.” What is certain is that all fans seem to agree on the hatred of one character: Ser Criston Cole.

House of the Dragon is an American television series adapting the novel Fire and Blood by George RR Martin released in 2018. The series focuses on the period known as the “Dance of the Dragons”, a period of unrest in Westeros where the Kingdom is split into two camps which support the accession to the throne of two different heirs. At the time, Viserys Targaryen was first on the throne of Westeros. He has no male heir from his first wife but a daughter named Rhaenyra who could succeed him.
