According to the information obtained by the AA correspondent from local sources, rocket attacks were carried out on the Omer oil and Kuniko gas fields, where US forces are stationed, from the regions where Iran-backed foreign terrorist groups are present in Deir ez-Zor.

US forces responded with artillery and rocket fire in the direction the rockets came from.

Rocket attacks were also carried out in the morning hours in the Omar oil field and its surroundings, where US forces are stationed in Deir ez-Zor province.

Pentagon Spokesperson Ryder announced at a daily press conference that at around 08:05 local time, the base called Green Village by the USA in Deir ez-Zor was attacked with 10 rockets.

Military points belonging to the US and coalition forces in Syria are occasionally targeted with rocket attacks from regions where Iran-backed foreign terrorist groups are present.

Deir ez-Zor province is the city that provides the land connection from Iran to Lebanon. Pipelines and trade routes from Iraq and Jordan also pass through this city.

The Iranian, Iraqi, Lebanese, Afghan and Pakistani groups stationed in Deir ez-Zor, where Sunni Arabs live, are commanded by members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Army.
