Several people have been taken to hospital after a mass crash on the E4 near Boviken.

Skellefteå hospital has gone into staff mode to be able to take care of any victims, VK writes.

The alarm about the accident, a crash in which according to the police about 20 cars are supposed to be involved, came in shortly after 10 o’clock on Wednesday morning.

The traffic impact is said to be large and according to the Swedish Transport Administration, traffic will be affected until at least 2 pm, local media write.

According to Norran, it is slippery at the scene of the accident.

– The focus is on ensuring that those who are to be taken to hospital by ambulance can be transported from the scene. They are also trying to reduce the risk of consequential accidents and are currently doing a risk assessment, says Angelica Bergman, operator at the rescue service to the newspaper.
