A horse in Östra Husby outside Norrköping had a dramatic night.
At 03:00, the owner woke up to desperate sounds and when she was going to look at the horse, it turned out that it was stuck in a pond.
– The horse had gone behind the barn and got stuck in a pond and could not get up on its own, says Christian Lind, officer on duty at the rescue service in Östra Götaland.
The rescue service had to pull out and after a stressful hour they managed to pull the horse out of the pond.
– We had to put hoses around the horse’s stomach and then we carefully pulled it up with a tractor. It went well, but it was quite carried away afterwards, says Christian Lind.
However, the horse appeared to be unharmed after its nocturnal adventure.
– A fence around the dam would probably be great so it doesn’t happen again, says Christian Lind.
