Stephen King’s horror novel Cemetery of the Cuddly Toys is one of his scariest works and has been inspiring since its publication in 1983 already four horror films. Over four years after the remake, Cemetery of the Cuddly Toys, the latest adaptation now takes us back to the eerie horror cemetery.
Cuddly Toy Cemetery: Bloodlines is available now to stream on Paramount+ *. The horror prequel is based on a horrific story that was deliberately left out of the 2019 Stephen King film adaptation.
That’s what Cemetery of Stuffed Animals Bloodlines is all about
Many decades before the grisly events in Cemetery of the Cuddly Toys Jud Crandall (Jackson White as young John Lithgow) wants to leave the town of Ludlow in 1969 to join the Peace Corps. An ancient evil that has surrounded the small town for centuries wants to prevent this.
Since returning from Vietnam, Jud’s childhood friend has turned into a creepy eccentric with a hunger for bloody fresh meat. The reason for this: Timmy Baterman actually died in the war and was killed by his father on an ancient earth Mi’kmaq Tribe Cemetery buried, who resurrects the dead. The “zombie” now begins to tyrannize the living.

Jackson White in Graveyard of Stuffed Animals Bloodlines
The plot should seem familiar to fans of Stephen King’s novel or Mary Lambert’s film adaptation Cemetery of the Cuddly Toys from 1989. The basis for the new film is the story of the revived war returnee Timmy Baterman, which was told as a flashback in the book and film. In the 2019 remake, this chapter was deliberately left out.
And for all cuddly toy fans who were afraid of the vicious zombie cat Church in the original, there is a new animal surprise. This time the history lets you resurrected zombie dog on the residents of Ludlow.
Another reason to immediately put Cemetery of Cuddly Toys Bloodlines on your watch list is the well-known cast. In addition to the lead actor Jackson White, known from the series Tell Me Lies, Natalie Alyn Lind (The Gifted), David Duchovny (The X-Files), Henry Thomas (The Haunting of Hill House) and blaxploitation icon Pam Grier can also be seen in other roles.
