With The Fall of the House of Usher, director Mike Flanagan recently brought us one of the best Netflix series of the year. As one of the most important voices in modern horror, he has been responsible for numerous horror works in recent years that combine shocking horror with emotional stories.
Flanagan last impressed film fans in 2019 with the fantastic Stephen King film adaptation Doctor Sleeps Awakening. Four Netflix horror series later, Flanagan is now filming his first new feature film in four years. It is again based on a work by horror master Stephen King. And the Huge cast brings together numerous Netflix stars.

The Life of Chucks is Mike Flanagan’s third project based on a work by Stephen King. After The Game and Doctor Sleeps Awakening, this time we’re supposed to not a pure horror story expect, but a dramatic Stephen King film adaptation, such as The Condemned or Stand by Me – The Secret of a Summer.
Based on the short story Chuck’s life us King’s collection of novellas Bloody news The film tells three chapters from the life of a man named Charles Krantz in reverse order – from his death to his childhood in a supposedly haunted house. Loki star Tom Hiddleston takes on the lead role.

When does the Stephen King film adaptation The Life of Chuck start?
The project is an independent production without the involvement of a Hollywood studio or streaming service. It is therefore not yet known whether The Life of Chuck will be shown in cinemas or on stream. Since production recently started, a start date would be End of 2024 or 2025 conceivable.
