What Steven Spielberg’s classic Jaws did to the sea, the new horror film Night Swim wants to repeat for swimming pools and garden pools. From now on you can watch the film from the infamous Blumhouse factory in the cinema. The story could hardly sound more bizarre.
Demon Swimming Pool Horror: That’s what Night Swim is all about
The plot of Bryce McGuire’s horror film revolves around successful baseball player Ray Waller (Wyatt Russell), who… Have to end your career due to illness. At the beginning of Night Swim, he moves into a new house with his wife Eve (Kerry Condon) and their two children Izzy (Amélie Hoeferle) and Elliot (Gavin Warren), which is particularly attractive with a swimming pool in the garden.
While Ray can use the swimming pool for his physiotherapy, the children can have fun in it with friends. Ray is surprised to notice physical improvements in himself. At the same time, the nature of the father of the family changes. The children are also haunted by frightening apparitions in the pool.
Of course, what’s behind all of this won’t be revealed at this point. Suffice it to say: Night Swim will reveal one at some point scary mythology, which links the ordinary pool with a demonic force. After the film, you’ll think twice about how deep you want to dive next time you visit the swimming pool!
