Jordan Peele rose to fame as an actor and comedian. In recent years has had a remarkable career as Director and Screenwriter laid down. Peele has been behind the camera since the horror hit Get Out. His directorial debut was followed by Wir before bringing the smashing sci-fi horror Nope to screens last year.
Now the movie world is wondering what Peele’s up to next. As the Hollywood Reporter reports, his latest project is already in the works. What this is about is secret. But what we do know is the theatrical release: Am December 25, 2024 the filmmaker who was passed over at this year’s Oscars returns to the cinema.

An exciting development: With just three films, Peele has worked his way up to the point that Universal big theatrical release at Christmas that is usually reserved for big event blockbusters and family-friendly cinema. Case in point: Avatar 3 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 open five days before Peele’s new film.

Universal must extremely high trust in Peele’s project that they’re pitting it against two brands that have already proven themselves multiple times at the box office. Both Sonic chapters were huge successes, while the Avatar series made James Cameron the undisputed box office king.
Peele is not averse to blockbuster cinema. Although he started out in the indie space with Get Out, Nope sees himself as gigantic screen spectacle, which even refers directly to one of the most important films in the development of blockbuster cinema: Jaws. Now we can be curious to see how Peele connects to it.
