“Horrible to watch”

Skysports’ football experts Jamie Redknapp and Gary Neville were dismayed by United’s performance.

– Manchester United is so inconsistent. That’s horrible to watch. They have no hunger or passion, the game is compulsive. They have no ambition or desire, former top player Redknapp charged.

Former England national team defender Neville was on the same lines.

– I don’t really see what they want to do on the field. They don’t seem to have any game patterns.

United have now lost nine of the season’s 20 Premier League games.

– The statistics are ugly for them, Neville summed up.

ManU coach By Erik Ten Hag the position has been in trouble for some time. On Saturday, the club’s supporters expected the Dutchman to be fired in the stands.

– You get fired in the morning, the fans sang.

Ten Hag started at United’s helm last season and the result was third place. There were as many losses in the Premier League last season as there are now. This season, only Burnley and Sheffield United have scored fewer goals in the league than United.

– Last season we overachieved. Now we have underperformed. We need to play better and brace ourselves, Ten Hag stated.

On Christmas Eve, it was reported that the British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe buys a quarter of Manchester United. At the same time, Ratcliffe’s company Ineos Group takes over United’s football operations. Director of Ineos Group Dave Brailsford watched the Nottingham defeat from the stands on Saturday.

– He must have seen that we have problems. We want to build Boxing Day around winning. Now we had a striker problem when Rasmus Højlund was on the sidelines due to illness.
