A women’s clinic in Region Blekinge has long had problems with an incredibly unpleasant smell in the premises that comes and goes.
Now the safety representative at the clinic has sent a request to the Swedish Work Environment Agency for intervention according to the Work Environment Act.
The landlord tried to hide the stench with incense sticks
In request, which News24 informed, the safety representative writes that the smell has been going on for a long time and that no one has really overcome the problem.
“The landlord’s action was to put out scent sticks.”, says the protection officer’s request.
Found dead rats under the floor
In the past, the horrible smell was due to dead rats under the floor.
“In previous problems with this smell, there have been dead rats lying under the floor. It is not possible to provide care in premises with these problems”, writes the safety representative in a request to the Work Environment Agency.
The clinic has previously had to close due to a “terrible smell”, writes the safety representative.
Carpenters have broken up the floor
According to the safety representative, the clinic has had problems with rats in the building three times. Right now, one of the clinic’s rooms is missing floors in places.
“There have been carpenters and broken up the floor in the room, first in one corner and then a larger hole. When they are in the room, they use some kind of breathing protection, but the regular staff stay in these premises all day without any kind of breathing protection.” , writes the safety representative in the request to the Work Environment Agency.
