Blackman has categorically denied claims that he was a manipulative bully on set, but after this report emerged, Rolling Stone reported that one of Blackman’s other projects, the Horizon Zero Dawn prequel series, may have been canceled.
The series’ rich and engaging story and gorgeous world have long been considered the perfect title for a TV show. It’s been in development at Netflix — until now, that is. According to Rolling Stone’s Cheyenne Roundtree, everything Blackman-related has been canceled, including Horizon Zero Dawn and Orbital . It’s not known how far along the team is in production on the Horizon TV show, but it’s not expected to push the envelope too far.
It is likely that Sony will partner with another partner to produce the TV series, especially considering the success of other live-action adaptations recently, most notably the award-winning series The Last of Us, which has broken records and is known as one of the best adaptations in history.
