A single death knight plows through the Horde in World of Warcraft – and he’s naked. Rextroy is out once again to make the Alliance proud.
The well-known YouTuber and streamer Rextroy has been inactive for a long time to concentrate on other things in real life. But now he is back and shows once again how you can amusingly circumvent the mechanics of World of Warcraft and defeat enemies by the dozen even with shockingly little equipment.
Because this time Rextroy faces the horde naked – and yet she hardly stands a chance against him.
This is how Rextroy deceived the Horde: In order to give the impression of being an “easy target”, Rextroy removed all of his equipment and also marked himself as absent with “/afk” – even though he was of course present.
The whole thing looks very suspicious, because why would a naked Alliance player be so close to the Horde capital?
However, some could not resist this honor treat and attacked. Rextroy waited for exactly this moment to pull the attackers towards him with a death grip and then kill them within a fraction of a second. You can see the effects of this in this video, starting at minute 3:24:
However, the plan sometimes went wrong. Since Rextroy was naked, he had extremely few health points, so many enemies could one-hit him with a bit of luck.
How does it work? The basic trick has been used frequently in other variants. It works once again because of the scaling that exists between high-level characters and small animals (“critters”). If a character at level 70 attacks a small animal, it does not cause its normal damage, but significantly increased amounts – in the millions or even billions.
Actually, this is not a problem because this damage only applies to these small animals.
However, there are talents and abilities that “store” part of the damage dealt and then reserve it for other abilities. For the Death Knight, this is the case with the talent “Cryogenic Chamber”. 15% of the damage caused by Frost Fever is accumulated and released the next time “Merciless Winter” is used.
15% of several billion is still enough to kill most players immediately – because they only have a few million health points.
Won’t Rextroy be banned? No, he won’t. He usually reports any exploits he finds to Blizzard immediately before publishing the videos. In most cases, he even waits until the bug is fixed before uploading the video. This minimizes the risk of copycats using the exploit to commit more serious offenses.
By the way, Rextroy doesn’t just like to use the exploits to defeat heroes of the enemy faction, but also the occasional raid boss. In another new video, he showed how he can also deliver one-hits and make one or two raid bosses look pretty old.
