Hooja had a chance at four awards – group of the year, breakthrough of the year, fans of the year and song of the year for “Banana melon kiwi & citron” – and scooped them all.
The group Bolaget, which was also nominated in several categories, chose to boycott Rockbjörnen in solidarity with Hooja.
A familiar face at the gala is Benjamin Ingrosso, who once again won the Male Artist of the Year award. It is the fifth time in six years that he has left the gala with that particular award.
