“We recently installed new systems at the treatment plant,” says Van Zoelen. “The reporting system, or watchdog, must report every ten minutes when the controls are not functioning properly. The watchdog has of course been extensively tested. However, it did not work properly and did not report a single message, even though the installation stood still for two days.”
