During the second lockdown, Marthe had to leave her house for a renovation and it was very uncertain whether she could stay there. It would take a month, but in the end she couldn’t return until seven months later. “I stayed with friends and with my parents, I didn’t have a place of my own. I felt like I wasn’t really getting any further in life, you really need a foundation to grow on. That has translated into my music. there’s a piece on the LP that’s floating and still. I was very happy when I had a house again.”
