Honduras forges ties with China

President Xiomara Castro writes on Twitter that she has instructed Foreign Minister Eduardo Reina to start the process, but does not mention anything if this means Honduras severing ties with Taiwan.

China does not accept that countries have relations with both Beijing and the Taiwanese government in Taipei, and only about ten states have diplomatic relations with Taiwan.
