Within the scope of this agreement, the two will focus directly on production and engineering, which will go into wide-ranging cooperation for zero carbon studies. Within the scope of the agreement; Honda and POSCO, whose partnerships are currently in progress, will explore cooperation options to be implemented in key areas determined for zero carbon targets. Particularly, cooperation in the supply of basic battery materials and technical changes in battery materials in the future draw attention.
Within the scope of recycling, the promotion of the use of recycled materials for the realization of a carbon-neutral society comes to the fore. In addition, the establishment of a closed-loop recycling system using recycled battery materials is also within the scope of the research. Within the scope of the cooperation, in addition to all these, ultra-high tensile sheet metal that reduces vehicle weight for the use of automotive steel sheet used in production and sheet metal that reduces greenhouse gas emissions during the production process will also be investigated.
