Holtz scored as New Jersey beat Detroit

Leksand extended the winning streak beat AIK

Holtz, who played youth hockey in Nacka and Djurgården before moving across the Atlantic, made it 4-0 after six minutes and 40 seconds into the third period. It was his second goal in his NHL career.

In addition to Holtz, teammates Nico Hischier, Jack Hughes and Dougie Hamilton each scored a goal and an assist.

New Jersey goaltender Vitek Vanecek saved 32 shots on goal and kept a clean sheet for 58 minutes, before Lucas Raymond scored on the power play with two minutes left in the game.

“Really unfortunate that we conceded that goal at the end because we all knew how badly he wanted that finish.” But he’s been outstanding all year and he’s the backbone of this team,” New Jersey’s Miles Wood said of Vanecek’s play in the cage after the game.
