The fatal accidental shot by actor Alec Baldwin happened during the filming of the movie Rust in the fall of 2021.
The actor was charged by the New Mexico state prosecutor on Thursday Alec Baldwin64, faces manslaughter charges after more than a year of investigations.
Also responsible for gun safety in the movie Rust Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is brought before the court to answer for the fatal accident.
The accident happened in October 2021, when Baldwin was practicing using a handgun and pointing a revolver at a photographer Halyna Hutchins towards.
Baldwin fired the gun, which indeed had real bullets instead of bangers. 42-year-old Halyna Hutchins was killed by the impact, and the director Joel Souza was wounded by a bullet in the shoulder.
Baldwin and Gutierrez-Reed face a maximum sentence of one and a half years in prison and a fine of $5,000.
How real bullets got into the gun used in the movie is still unclear. Gutierrez-Reed blame the matter (you switch to another service) ammunition supplier.
