One Piece is one of the most successful franchises ever. The live-action adaptation One Piece has become a massive Netflix hit, and a second season is very likely. Hollywood star Jamie Lee Curtis (Everything Everywhere All at Once) has shown himself to be a huge fan of the pirate universe and sees itself in a very special role for the adaptation.
One Piece season 2 with Jamie Lee Curtis: Hollywood star wants to play 141-year-old character
As Curtis revealed at this year’s Academy Awards, she would like to take on the role of the doctor Kuleha (Eng. voice in the anime: Dagmar Heller), which they call “wrinkled old lady” describes.

She wears those flared pants and looks pretty mean. But she’s got this stringy gray hair and… [meine Tochter] thinks I could play that.
At Kuleha or Kureha is a 141-year-old doctor, that the pirate crew around Luffy (in the Netflix adaptation: Iñaki Godoy) encounters on the island of Drumm. She is the mentor of Tony Tony Chopper (Florian Halm/Martin Halm), who joins the pirates as the ship’s doctor.
Meanwhile, Curtis’ enthusiasm has increased, too reached the cast of the Netflix adaptation. Nami actress Emily Rudd has already campaigned for her colleague to be cast in an Instagram story (via X).
When will Netflix release One Piece season 2 with Jamie Lee Curtis?
Season 1 of the Netflix adaptation of One Piece has adapted approximately the first 45 episodes of the anime template. Kuleha is there from episode 80, so an appearance in season 2 of the implementation is not unlikely. So far, however, the streamer has not commented on a possible casting of Curtis. It would also be very early for that: A second season has not yet been confirmed and would be in line with our assessment no earlier than mid-2025.
