The day before the festive meals, do you recommend a specific diet?
Be a little more vigilant during the two or three days before. Be sure to moderate your fat consumption and favor foods rich in fiber. You will prepare the digestive tract to the excesses to come. Soups and compotes in particular, but also raw vegetables. You can eat starchy foods, pasta and rice, but limit the amount. Now is not the time to try spaghetti bolognese, for example … meal New Years Eve are often high in fat, and as such more difficult to digest. Are there foods to avoid during Christmas and New Year’s Eve meals?
The alcohol-fat mixture is a catastrophic “pair” … but difficult to avoid! Be aware, however, that during digestion, fats and alcohol are engaged in a real duel. The body is not used to digesting the alcohol in large quantities. And to do that, it must first break it down into sugars, which are then stored as fat. Suddenly, while it digests alcohol, it does not burn fat and … it stores them! For the drink, prefer a good wine or a champagne rather than alcohols strong. And if possible limit your consumption to two glasses per meal, four at most.
As to materials fatty, traditional Christmas dishes put them in the spotlight: foie gras, oysters and buttered bread, capon, duck breast … Learn to choose. You can plan for “XXS” portions by using verrines, bites and other serving spoons, fortunately in fashion. If, on the contrary, you prefer a traditional meal with family portions, do not burden your guests with starter to dessert. If you don’t want to sacrifice the pleasure of the log and its buttercream, choose a seafood starter … without mayonnaise!

Come on, it’s party time for everyone, but with good reason! First, the principle “zero alcohol»Is not negotiable! We must stop telling ourselves that a single drink, to “party”, is not harmful. It’s wrong. One drink is enough to put your child in danger. For the rest, know that fatty foods increase the risk of nausea. Cooked seafood is allowed, without worry: lobster, lobster, scallops, don’t hesitate. On the other hand the raw products, theSalmonin carpaccio or tartare, oysters are prohibited!
