Created in 2004, the event has continued each year, including virtually in 2020 and ’21. Different agencies have benefited over the years, with food insecurity becoming the focus.

Musician Alysson Storey, who has organized the jam for the last 12 years, credited all involved with making it a success.

“All of the participating musicians have strong connections to Chatham-Kent and generously share their talents to benefit Chatham-Kent organizations,” she said.

“It’s thanks to them the annual Holiday Jam for Hunger shows have raised almost $30,000 for local charities. The need is stronger than ever, so I’m very grateful for the continued community support.”
