Hockey players SCHC finally win again at Den Bosch draw

BILTHOVEN – The SCHC hockey players have ensured a special victory by winning 0-1 at Den Bosch. Kampong drew 2-2 at home against Victoria.

SCHC is second in the premier league with 42 points from 18 matches. Den Bosch is the leader with 50 points from 19 games. Kampong is eighth with 18 points from 18 games.

Jansen match winner for SCHC

SCHC and Den Bosch are eternal rivals. The last time the Bilthoven women managed to win against Den Bosch was in 2007. Lucas Judge’s team won 0-1 on Sunday with a goal from Yibbi Jansen. She scored the only goal of the game in the 57th minute.

“We are very happy with the win”, Yibbi Jansen looks back on the game. “To be honest, I didn’t know that the last win at Den Bosch was so long ago.”

Jansen scored on the seventh penalty corner of SCHC’s game. “I also needed it for a while. We also just played well. It’s great that we won and that gives confidence towards the play-offs.”

Kampong plays right

Tess Zweers gave Kampong a 1-0 lead in the 25th minute. Bente Van Dijk then took care of the 1-1 just before half-time. In the 57th minute, Julieta Jankunas gave Victoria a 1-2 lead, but in the absolute final phase Bente van der Veldt managed to make the 2-2 on behalf of Kampong.
