Scottish star Lee Erwin became the character of the game in the Veikkausliiga match between HJK and Haka. In the second season, Erwin, who celebrated scoring goals in Haka’s ranks, sank his former club with a spectacular goal.
HJK led the match Topi Keskinen completed the goal from Erwin’s penalty kick in the first period. The game was decided in the second period, when HJK’s corner kick reached the forgotten Erwin at the back post.

The goal was Erwin’s first of the season in the Veikkausliiga, who joined HJK at the beginning of the month. The Scotsman had hit the Helsinki team once in the Champions League qualifying match. Against Haka, Erwin was substituted barely a quarter of an hour before the end.
HJK fell catastrophically to Lithuanian Panevezys in the Champions League. The victory over Haka brought HJK to the top of the league. However, KuPS is breathing down their necks, three points behind and having played two matches less.
Haka continues in the series fourth. The difference with KuPS is one point. SJK is tied with the Kuopio team for third in the series.
