Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) handed over the largest bilateral cooperation agreement that Sweden has ever had to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyj, when they both met at Harpsund.
Kristersson began the press conference at Harpsund by condemning Russia’s attack in Chernihiv, 15 miles north of Kiev, which occurred a few hours earlier.
– It is a brutal attack that we condemn, says Kristersson.
– It is a great honor for me to be in Sweden and I want to thank the Swedish people, your country and your leaders for your support for Ukraine, Zelenskyy said during the press conference.
Ulf Kristersson also handed over the largest bilateral cooperation agreement that Sweden has ever had, which involves deliveries of the CV-90 combat vehicle.
– CV90 saves lives so we need more of these. That is why I feel very grateful. It is a big step forward, says Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Ukraine also appealed to get Swedish Gripen planes, and turned to Kristersson.
– Gripen is Sweden’s pride. Such pride can be shared with Ukraine. We are working on it.
– Tomorrow I will have negotiations with other countries that support us to deliver the equipment necessary for us to win this war.
