Turkey’s Consulate General in Aleppo became operational again after 12 years, with the Turkish flag raised. Interim Chargé d’Affaires of Turkey’s Embassy in Damascus, Burhan Köroğlu, made a statement at the Consulate General in Aleppo.
THE TURKISH FLAG IS FLYING AGAIN IN SYRIAN LAND
Following the latest developments in Syria, another important development took place in Aleppo, the country’s second largest city. The Turkish Consulate General in Aleppo, which was closed in 2012, was reopened.
Turkey’s Consulate General in Aleppo became operational again with the raising of the Turkish flag. After 12 years, the Turkish Flag flew again in Aleppo.
“RELATIONSHIPS WILL DEVELOP FURTHER”
Evaluating this historical development, Chargé d’Affaires of Damascus Burhan Köroğlu said:
“We will represent our country here. As foreign affairs representatives, we will support the development of relations between the two countries. Relations between Turkey and Syria will develop much more. As Turkey, we will support the reopening of Syria to the world. We can say that we have started a very profitable process for both sides.”
