So far, no one has ever managed to win such a big jackpot in France. La Française des jeux and its European counterparts are offering a draw for the historic Euromillions, Friday July 8, 2022. The jackpot will amount to 230 million euros for the occasion. Never seen ! And for good reason, some time ago, a ceiling of 190 million euros prevented the Euromillions jackpots from reaching such a peak. Since then, the decision has been taken to raise the ceiling to 250 million euros. But to achieve this, the FDJ and its colleagues prefer to proceed by stratum.
So, initially, the cap was raised to 200 million, then once won, it was raised to 10 million, and so on. Since October 15, 2021 and the Euromillions draw of 220 million euros won, the ceiling has been raised to 230 million euros, but so far had not yet been reached. This Friday evening, if someone manages to find the result of the Euromillions, the ceiling can be raised to 240 million euros during the next kitty which will remain long enough without a winner to reach this summit. On the other hand, if nobody finds the results this Friday evening, next Tuesday, during the draw of the following Euromillions, the jackpot will remain at 230 million euros and will not be increased.

As with each meeting, organized on Tuesdays and Fridays, players will have until 8:15 p.m. sharp to validate their grid(s). Beyond that, it will be too late. Euromillions grids validated after the hour will be validated for the next draw. But nothing ensures that the jackpot is still on the agenda on Tuesday. Because if someone manages to find the result of the Euromillions this Friday evening, the kitty will be reset to “zero”, i.e. 17 million euros, the minimum amount that can be put into play for a draw.
