The Middle East was once again shaken by the assassination of Hassan Nasrallah. The Israeli army targeted Hezbollah’s senior commanders one by one and killed Hezbollah leader Hasan Nasrallah with an air strike in Beirut. It was not stated exactly how Hezbollah was killed and when his funeral will be held. Two sources stated that there was no direct wound on Nasrallah’s body and that the cause of death was “blunt trauma caused by the violence of the explosion.”
HIZBULLAH: ALI KARAKI WAS KILLED IN THE SAME ATTACK AS NASRALLAH
In the statement made by Hezbollah, it was stated that Karaki was also killed in the air strikes carried out a few days ago in the Dahiye region of the capital Beirut.
It was reported that Karaki, who had been “the commander of the movement’s soldiers in the south” since 1982, when Hezbollah was founded, continued his duty as the commander of the southern front from October 8, 2023 until the day he was killed.
The statement also stated that Karaki lost his life along with Hezbollah leader Nasrallah and a group of other names in the air strikes carried out by Israel on the Hurayk District of Dahiye.
Ali Karaki was known as the third person at the top of Hezbollah’s military wing and at the helm of the movement.
1052 PEOPLE KILLED IN ISRAEL’S VIOLENT ATTACKS ON LEBANON
According to AA, The Israeli army, which has been continuing controlled clashes with Hezbollah since October 8, 2023, launched hundreds of air strikes on Lebanon’s southern cities as well as the Bekaa and Baalbek regions on September 23.
According to Lebanese authorities, a total of 1052 people, including 104 children and 194 women, have died since September 17, when the communication devices used by Hezbollah were detonated.
Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was killed in air strikes by the Israeli army on Beirut on September 27.
Hezbollah responds to Israel with rockets and missiles. No major damage was reported in these attacks, which mostly targeted army bases on the Israeli side.
Nearly 150 thousand people were displaced within the country due to Israeli bombardment.
