(Finance) – Motorways for Italy for the thirteenth consecutive year it is official sponsor of the Giro d’Italia, to further promote the beauties of our country. The project “Wonders. Discover the Italy of wonders” and the Aspi multi-channel platform which accompanies the traveler to discover itineraries and suggestive cycle paths, immersed in the history and beauty of small villages, in the naturalistic heritage, unique places capable of transforming an ordinary day into an exclusive experience for those who travel them.
Wonders supports users at different moments of the journey, from planning to arrival, thanks to the map on the portal in which the over 500 travel experiences identified with the contribution of UNESCO, the Italian Touring Club, WWF and Slow Food Italy are geolocalised. The system personalizes the information based on the itinerary and aims to raise user awareness of sustainable mobility by also offering various green itineraries. With the KuriU for Wonders App instead the Autostrade per l’Italia project is enriched by the contributions of the community who tell and share their travel experiences.
From San Francesco al Campo, along Route 45 of Monferrato, in a sea of hills that stretches out at times very gently and at other times steeply. To the Tortonesi Hills, places dear to Fausto Coppi, cycling legend. And again, Casole d’Elsa in Tuscany, near the Viareggio-Rapolano stage, where an integrated hospitality experience for cyclists takes shape. Then Spoleto, the stage city on the slopes of Monteluco. From here, in a few pedal strokes you reach the site of the former Spoleto-Norcia railway, a work of art rather than engineering, among viaducts, tunnels and helical curves. Nearby, Norcia, the city of San Benedetto, reborn after the earthquake.
The Giro d’Italia ends in Rome, with the Via Appia Antica, from Porta San Sebastiano to the Villa dei Quintili. In this short stretch, you can admire extraordinary monuments and imperial villas, with magnificent postcard shots.
