Environment Canada has a high wind warning in effect for the area.
Exposed areas near Lake Erie will see the strongest wind gusts up to 110 km/h, while gusts inland are expected to be in the 80 to 90 km/h range. Conditions are expected to continue until late Saturday night.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, is a possibility. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.
High winds may result in power outages and fallen tree branches. Motorists, especially in high profile vehicles, may expect hazardous driving conditions on highways subject to strong crosswinds.
