The peak of approximately 13 to 13.5 meters above NAP will probably pass Lobith on Friday, Rijkswaterstaat expects. After the high water wave flows into the Netherlands, it spreads towards the IJssel, the Nederrijn and the Waal. The NOS reports that campsites on the Waal will therefore be evacuated later this week. Many farmers will also have to remove their livestock from the floodplains due to the high water.
