High pressure on strawberries in Ulricehamn – police were called in

There was traffic chaos and an ambulance had to be called to a strawberry stand in Ulricehamn as a result of the high pressure on Swedish strawberries before midsummer.
– F
people are happy with strawberries, says Krister Thorné, who runs the strawberry sales.

Chaotic scenes unfolded at the strawberry stand in Vist in Ulricehamn when sales started on Thursday morning, reports Ulricehamn’s newspaper.

The queue was long, cars parked criss-cross. Police and ambulance were called to the scene after a man collapsed in the queue.

– It was an older uncle, we have CPR training and also had a nurse in line. He was talkative the whole time, but we called an ambulance just in case, says Krister Thorné.

That there is high pressure at the strawberry sales is, on the other hand, a common view according to Krister Thorné, who describes it as a little more crowded than usual.

– They started parking a bit half-crazy, then the next car does it too. We have opened up an extra parking lot and will put someone there who can direct a bit.

“People are pissed off”

Krister Thorné feels that the mood in the queue was good after all, even if the parked cars seemed to cause irritation.

– Quite a lot of complaints come in, so to speak. People are pissed off. Above all, professionals who don’t come to work, says police officer Andreas Friberg to Ulricehamn’s newspaper.

The sale will also be on tomorrow, but Krister Thorné thinks it will be a little calmer.

– I think it will be pretty good tomorrow, many people bought today to have for midsummer. But we are working on it.
